'Crust & Ember Pizzeria started with a vision: to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Moretti family back in 1985, our cozy pizzeria was originally a quaint, family-managed venue rooted in ancestral recipes.
Tony Moretti, our progenitor, mastered the craft of pizza-making while journeying across Italy, learning from renowned pizzaiolos in Naples—the original home of pizza. Returning to the UK, she set out to recreate the essence of Italian pizza, adhering to age-old techniques and selecting the best ingredients.
What kicked off as a humble 12-chair eatery has blossomed into a cherished neighborhood gem, though our dedication to excellence and authenticity remains firm. We abide by the classic wood-burning oven methods, prepare our dough fresh daily, and seek out the highest grade of ingredients available.
Nowadays, 'Crust & Ember Pizzeria is still owned and managed by the family, with the Morettis' second generation at the helm of our enthusiastic crew. Even though we've adopted some modern conveniences, our essence stays unaltered: we're in the business of producing delicious, authentic pizza that unites people.
